Journalism and Shorter Writings

My short writings and journalism focus on science and education, but always with a view toward applications and practical consequences.  They have ranged from a column on body language for Total Politics magazine, to scientific commentary on recent news stories, such as the scientists who announced they had discovered the ten most annoying noises in the UK, and study guides (trade press part works and academic text book chapters) for students about physiology and the body.
