“Science Writing Project, 2004”
20-25 September 2004, The Hurst, Shropshire (The Arvon Foundation)

This is the first ever science writing workshop run by the Arvon foundation. It was application by nomination only, a five day residential retreat for 12 hand picked scientists to work on a science writing project, with all expenses paid. Direction and instruction were provided by John Gribbin (Schrodinger’s Cat) and Jim Crace (twice winner of the Whitbread Award). The book project I am currently working on concerns the science of pleasure and is called Pleasure and how you can get more of it.

Contact: author John Gribbin and novelist Jim Crace.
